    Btw, I saw a surprising number of very old and/or very infirm people at the #NoKings here. They used canes, walkers, wore braces, some just shuffled, some even used the stick of their sign as a cane. Nothing would stop them. If you didn’t go today, remember them the next time you have a choice to attend a protest.

    I can’t go out and protest today. I work for a government contractor and need a basic security clearance, which means my First Amendment rights are void under the current administration. (Fortunately I’m with one of the agencies they’re afraid to touch, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be fired on a whim.) And there’s part of me that would be happy to give it all away to punch a riot cop in the face, but I have 8 cats who depend on me to keep my job so we can keep this house.And I have so much rage in me right now that I could not be trusted *not* to throw punches.To everyone out there today, be strong, and be loud for those of us who can’t be there — the silenced government employees, sure, but moreso the disabled and the targeted, the ones who can’t physically be there and the ones who are the biggest targets. Be safe, be smart, and be LOUD.#NoKings
