    I watched some of apple's #Foundation but I gave up for now.It bothers me that everything revolves around Chosen Ones when the books were mostly the opposite (up to a point).I get why they did that but meh.Also, those chosen ones plot lines are.. boring? I just don't care.The original idea of the genetic emperor could be interesting but doesn't really mix in with the rest, and suffers from "one episode character" disease, so I don't care about them either.5/10.#scifi #tvseries

    Dear Fedi friends,Good morning from #FOSDEM! Yesterday was pure magic: I loved every single presentation in the Social Web devroom, with devs and Fediverse champions sharing their inspiring work.I didn’t post anything because I was so absorbed in all the talks (plus @liaizon and @Sascha did a fantastic job chronicling the event).I can’t stop thinking about one of @benpate’s closing slides: “Every single thing you do to improve the Fediverse is a win for humanity”YES! 🙌

    @jwz yaml could be a good target for this too since it canonically supports references and ways to modify referenced data.this pythonprint('a0: &t0')print(' f0: v0')for x in range(33): print(f'a{x+1}: &t{x+1}') print(f' <<: *t{x}') if x > 2: print(f' <<: *t{x-1}') print(f' f{x+1}: v{x+1} #override') print(f' g{x+1}: w{x+1} #override')generates a yaml file that takes a while to load in python's yaml parser:$ time python3 tl.pyreal 0m31.946suser 0m31.629ssys 0m0.286s40 steps gets the python interpreter over 5 gig (i'm too lazy to run this to completion) using just 2872 bytes of input.

    @VileLasagna That's the rub, right? Not enough people _need_ that feature.
