Thanks to your generosity, we gathered $700 / $3000 to get my family out of #Gaza City and into Al-Zawaida where we found land to rent.
But we still can’t afford transportation nor the cost of a tent 💔 Every day we decide if we should save for a most uncertain future, or if we should eat some more or bear with hunger. I look at people around me, everyone’s lost half their weight.
I’m not posting for likes, I’m posting because my family and I are in dire need of help. Please do something. 💔💔💔

elena@aseachange.com could it be that you're editing an article that had never been federated before (aka predates the AP plugin)?
In that case the published update might be the first time a Mastodon instance sees it, and it might promote it to the top of the feed even if it's many years old?
