And while on the subject, I think it's a dirty trick that they went to such lengths to hide Cortez' loyalty mission (and half the time, Cortez himself) from the player.

There is a "Mordin Lives" mod. He won't take part in any mission ever again, but it lets him survive. There's also one that lets you save both Kaidan and Ashley on Virmire, under the same condition. (It's a bit tricky and counter-intuitive when installing it to select which of the two will be still 'active' after Virmire, because it does the opposite of what you think.)

There's a mod "Audemus' Happy Ending" that skips the entire Catalyst Kid scene, and you destroy the Reapers but not EDI or the Geth. But I haven't gotten around to replaying the ending with that mod yet.

Unfortunately ALL mods that result in characters unexpected by the game being present at the party at the end of the Citadel DLC cause it to crash-to-black at the morning-after-party scene. I swear next time through, I'm just going to not enable the Citadel DLC. It adds more annoyance than it does gameplay value.

@catsalad I could list quite a few, but 素晴らしき日々 and CROSS†CHANNEL certainly stand out to me. I am not quite sure the latter had me actually crying all that many times (though it did a few), but the sheer emotional whiplash that the story delivers has definitely left its impact.

I really hope to be able to play both of them in their original language one day.
