Chestnut season has started! I repeat, chestnut season has started!
Yesterday we bought 1 kg of chestnuts from the supermarket. This morning we noticed a few chestnuts while walking, decided to pick some up and mix them with those from the supermarket and *without going out of our way or anything* we accidentally found ourselves with almost another kg of chestnuts.

Ieri ne abbiamo comprato un kg al supermercato. Stamattina ne abbiamo notate camminando, abbiamo deciso di raccoglierne qualcuna da aggiungere a quelle del supermercato e *senza cambiare strada o fare nessuno sforzo* ci siamo ritrovati accidentamente con quasi un altro kg di castagne.

@liw there are also some horse chestnuts in the area, and now I'm wondering whether I should use a drill to drill a hole in some conkers and play the game (that I've never played because around here it isn't a thing) -

@GustavinoBevilacqua missà che avevo letto, non so se lì (ma come mai?) o se era passato anche sulla nostra stampa locale
purtroppo in questi mesi dobbiamo anche spendere un po' di soldi in alimentari costosi al supermercato, altrimenti i buoni pasto scadono e quei soldi finiscono a quegli stronzi dei gestori di buoni pasto
