@Aleums an interesting consequence of this, as a person who is in the new target demographic of people with other commitments, I have a small collection of these electronic-music-for-fun baubles, learned enough from them to be frustrated with their limitations, and am now I building my own virtual instruments instead of buying more products. I assume these were meant to be a ramp to purchasing more expensive stuff and not a runway for most of their customers though.

@Aleums I can't imagine it's uncommon though, since surely many of the people in this demographic are programmers
