I have made a pretty interesting discovery on #Peertube. You are able to follow the peertube instances itself as an user on Mastodon.
(Speculation)
When follow an user from a Peertube platform, only the videos of the account you follow display on your mastodon instance. Differently from mastodon(and others) that when you follow an user in an instance, all the post form the instance get displayed from now on.

I'm not a technical person so I'm not sure of why they chose such approach in to handling federation on their platform.

@mgfp that is not true I think. If you are following a user and you’re seeing other posts from that instance I can imagine one of a few things happening. Either that person is boosting the posts, or replying to them, or you are following a person from your own instance so you are just seeing your local timeline?

Said Peertube instances manifest as automated accounts that boosts all the content (Local videos only) made by its users.
Here some examples:
@peertube@peertube.wtf
@peertube@makertube.net
@peertube@neat.tube
@peertube@dalek.zoneMost of them start with "@peertube@[respective instance]"
Your account even shows as one of its followers on the /about/follows ("network" tab) page.

@tofeo Unless posting videos is the only thing your interested, solely having an Peertube instance is not the best way to experience the fediverse.

@mgfp if you follow an account on mastodon you only get the posts from that account and any posts that they boost or interact with
