A friend of mine, fusion[1] from #OS2Warez, has written a tiny wrapper for #BBS #door programs so I can run them without needing a full-blown BBS. Combined with
rlfossil, a telnet-to-serial-port emulator for DOS (yes, really!), you can now read and write messages in my little forum!Just telnet to
floppy.museumon port8023- I recommend using #SyncTERM or some other client that implements the IBM 437 codepage, or 850 in a pinch. The experience should be fairly period-correct, something akin to a 1200 baud modem based on my testing.And just a reminder: This is a 286 machine, which also runs a web server, an IRC server, an FTP server and all of the above at the same time. It's not fast, but it gets the job done.
Also: Only one node at the moment. If it's busy, try again later! Consider it an early beta, for the moment! :D

@GustavinoBevilacqua I ravioli in scatola mai visti, al massimo gli spaghetti cinesi in quei barattoli credo in cartoncino/plastica tipo i bicchieri di mc donald. Una volta per pura curiosità ho assaggiato quelli cinesi: per carità mangiabili eh, ma mai più .Idem per quelle buste di risotti "pronti" disidratati e simili... O 4 salti in padella e simili..... Non fanno per me.Cioè io mi sbatto a organizzarmi di fare il brodo se il giorno dopo voglio un risotto....🙅🏻♂️
