A friend of mine, fusion[1] from #OS2Warez, has written a tiny wrapper for #BBS #door programs so I can run them without needing a full-blown BBS. Combined with
rlfossil, a telnet-to-serial-port emulator for DOS (yes, really!), you can now read and write messages in my little forum!Just telnet to
floppy.museumon port8023- I recommend using #SyncTERM or some other client that implements the IBM 437 codepage, or 850 in a pinch. The experience should be fairly period-correct, something akin to a 1200 baud modem based on my testing.And just a reminder: This is a 286 machine, which also runs a web server, an IRC server, an FTP server and all of the above at the same time. It's not fast, but it gets the job done.
Also: Only one node at the moment. If it's busy, try again later! Consider it an early beta, for the moment! :D

Oggi ho finito di guardare Il Traditore di Marco Bellocchio sulla vicenda di Tommaso Buscetta. All'epoca io ero alle scuole superiori. Alla strage di Capaci cademmo tutti dal pero - letteralmente - perché nessuno ci aveva spiegato nulla e per noi, qui al Nord, la mafia era qualcosa di remoto. Sono passati tanti anni e spero che i ragazzi di oggi siano più fortunati di noi in quanto a consapevolezza. Film ottimo, l'ho gradito molto, soprattutto sul maxi processo.

@davesh this isn't about me. (And, I think I'd rather just drink the Dr. Pepper, if I'm doing anything with it. Fermenting it into wine seems like a long road to a worse end.)

@InternetEh they're doing real freaky shit. Just about anything with sugar can be fermented into "wine", and there are folks making wine from soda, damned near every fruit and vegetable, and other random stuff (e.g. animal parts) thrown into something with sugar. Wine YouTubers are sick and someone needs to stop them. I keep clicking "don't show this channel" and there's always new ones.
