@ErickaSimone @KGPittman agree... the algorithm plays what the company wants you to listen to/watch. Apple music tends to be worse. My daughters like Adele's old songs, but whatever the next song plays, it is shit I would NEVER voluntarily listen to, like the newest billie eyeleash, or doja cat or stuff like that.

@ErickaSimone @P__X @KGPittman Yeah I have found it suspicious that as all these shenanigans are going on there's a distinct lack of songs of current events commentary in the rotation in recent years. I got to thinking about it when I was setting up a play list of 60s and 70s stuff. I was like huh what is the modern equivalent and came up VERY dry by comparison.

Where's our "I Ain't Marchin Anymore - Phil Ochs"?
Where's our "Ohio - Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young"?
Where's our "War - Edwin Starr"?
Where's our "Masters of War - Bob Dylan"
Where's our "Fortunate Son - CCR"?
Where's our "Bulls on Parade - Rage Against The Machine"?
Our "Games Without Frontiers - Peter Gabriel"?
Our "People Lets Stop The War - Grand Funk Railroad"

It's not that these kinds of songs arent getting written in recent years. It's that the monopoly mega corps dont let them reach us. I have to go out of my way digging to find songs like "Scum - Santa Hates You" or "Join Ice - Jesse Welles" and a host of other songs across genres all decrying this fuckery yet artificially getting no reach.
