Right, that's enough naval gazing for one day. Well almost.
Today is my 3rd anniversary here and it has been a wonderful experience. I've met so many lovely people, folks I consider friends and have genuine love and affection for. Incredible, unlike any previous social media before in terms of the tone and the engagement. It's genuinely made me a better person as I've learnt so much about other people's experience and I'm grateful for that opportunity to hear from people I otherwise would never meet.
And you lot are piss funny too. You big old bunch of loons. Love you all

@nick @admin I believe it can be deactivated; there's an option on snac. I think that even if you unfollow, the messages would arrive anyway: the purpose of this snac behavior is to give greater visibility to small instances, because in theory, it was originally created precisely for small personal instances or those with few users. Nowadays, some people complain that when they try to follow their own city, their own instance shows the user but often without posts, and it seems to them that it's not working. Not on all software, but, at least, in this way some benefit, and in general, the feedback has been positive. I'm afraid that turning it off might greatly limit the project's visibility. The use of unlisted for updates - a very useful suggestion - is precisely to avoid noise on public timelines.
