@karolherbst when mesamatrix says fp64 is available on iris and crocus for gen7+, and some quick googling tells me that fp64 is unavailable on Xe, how should I reconcile that? that fp64 was removed in Xe, that fp64 was emulated in Mesa, or something else?

@amonakov It is required by OpenGL, so whether the hardware supports it or not is irrelevant.
If the hardware doesn't support it, it gets emulated.
