@evan @chris Last I jhad read, the recognition of Palestine was pending meeting certain targetsm notably disarming nd leaving of Hamas and for non-USA countries, allowing Palestinian Authority to manage Gaza initially. (which Israel/USA refuse).
France and Saudi Arabia (backed by about 140 countries) worked on the Middle East side to get Hamas to agree, while the Trump regime used its power to blackmail Israel to accept ceasefile, but Trump did not require Israel recognize Palestine, nor accept Palestinian Authority governing in Gaza. Palestinian authority has condemned Hamas, recognized Israel's right to exist. Israel refuses to accept Palestine's right to exist.
