It's so pretty and so nice to have so much water!
But I am really starting to miss the sky... Better odds of seeing it because we're closer to the ocean the next couple of nights, but it's cloudy always and forever...

Some more lovely walks near Comox today.
Our farm-sitter called and asked about what to do with a power outage and -15C temperatures, and we talked him through the various steps to keep the well, the animal waterer, and the house from freezing. It was a wild disconnect to be super stressed out about very cold temps and damage back home, while standing on a beach on the very calm Salish Sea full of awesome birds.
The power came back after 2 hours! No damage.

@strk @Paoblog quicksy e conversations lo fanno, sono quelli che uso io (stesso sviluppatore). Poi forse anche altri.
Però guardano solo chi ha un account su quel server, non credo cbe esista un elenco pubblico di tutti i server XMPP in cui l'applicazione possa cercare.

@sandropisano ne parlavo anche poco fa. Signal è un netto miglioramento, ma non lo considero un traguardo.
Non ricordo se è open source, ma in ogni caso è su server amazon e negli stati uniti.
Personalmente cercherò di promuovere alternative europee.

Neanche il più mainstream dei musicisti campa più di sola musica e forse non lo ha mai fatto. Ora gli artisti vengono venduti a "pacchetto" che devono poi compensare esibendosi persino nei centri commerciali. Lo streaming di per sé funzionerebbe da vetrina. Ma anche il consumatore è incatenato a un sistema che illude a una libertà che invece è un subdolo catenaccio virtuale.
Le soluzioni? Ovviamente "scomode"
