@jon This doesn’t make sense to me. I thought patents had to be non obvious. Giving an AI some data and prompting it to do something should not be enough for a patent.
It’s also bizarre that the output might not be copyrightable, but somehow the thing that spits out the non-copyrightable output is patentable?
This is the dumbest timeline.

@jon But they apparently plan to also do it with users who have abandoned or taken a break from their accounts. At least if you're dead, people can pretty easily verify that the AI slop is not you.

@PedestrianError @jon Oh great, so now you can get cancelled or upset your friends and family because the AI version of you posted something awful on a Facebook account you haven't touched in five years.
