@swelljoe I said this exact thing when I watched this episode. But also, Starfleet consistently has terrible security practices.

@swelljoe I'm enjoying the political stuff that builds off of Discovery's foundation, but not really enjoying the teen drama. But I'll continue watching.

@stevendb yeah, sometimes I have to remind myself that a show isn't for me and that's OK. Teen shows are for teens. Sometimes I can enjoy them, too. I'm enjoying School Spirits, and I liked The 100 and the new Sabrina series, but Riverdale and a bunch of others just don't do it for me. e.g. Gilmore Girls remains a favorite, even discounting nostalgia.

There's maybe never been a Trek that wasn't at least aimed in my general direction. But, this one is definitely aimed at younger folks.

@stevendb but, I can say I'm liking it a lot more than Section 31, which was an insult to Roddenberry and every Trek fan. At least Starfleet Academy is made by people who genuinely like Star Trek.
