If it were easy for bacteria to eat theyâd probably have evolved to do it already. Theyâve had enough time and itâs full of energy!
Weakly informed guess: fossil fuel have high âenergy of activationâ, ie, you have yo put a lot of energy in before any starts coming back out. Hard for a microbe to do.
