doomgeneric is a great tool for this, but it's kinda badly structured for what I need (multiple simultaneous dooms). So... I either run multiple processes or I rewrite all of doom to no longer have global values?

there are many ways to do this and I'm currently worried about how all of them are likely to be really annoying.
like I don't want to write C TCP/IP code. I can, I've done it before, but it's complicated enough that it might turn into an annoying disaster -
