Okay so the one thing I do need my laptop for is my research - and I use proton drive. I can use the browser to access, but it would be nice if they had an app for linux
IT BEGINS.
I won't do the food analogy I did on stream again, but I'm used to not being catered to, as a vegan, so this feels right at home

Paste this in the terminal (Ctrl+Shift+V):cat /dev/urandom | hexdump -C | grep "ca fe"
It's safe and you'll feel like a real hacker, reading the Matrix, especially if you keep the terminal open on the side of your monitor
(You can stop the rain of code with Ctrl+C anytime).

@JenJen This is why I decided against Proton when choosing a cloud provider for my partner. They're working on a Linux App, but it's not their priority. Filen is a great zero-knowledge cloud provider with a linux client. Not having a linux client as a privacy-first company is unacceptable anyway. Or you can build your own NAS, since you're a hardened linux expert now!

Ma quindi secondo voi quale sarebbe la migliore alternativa nel caso passasse #chatcontrol? Come hai detto tu matrix è piuttosto complicato da usare, mi chiedevo se ci potrà essere una vera alternativa decentralizzata ma allo stesso tempo semplice da utilizzare per chiunque. Magari app come SimpleX? Session?

@latsss another difference is that I oppose to wars and leaders promoting wars with empathy for all people, you hate an entire people with empathy only for your country, but this is also what Putin does. In the end you cannot get rid of all “russians”, whatever this means in a country that once hosted the capital of Russia, and the only solution to this situation is the peaceful coexistence of two people, that you don’t get winning an impossible war, but winning a possible peace.

@latsss the difference between us is clear: you strongly believe that war is the only path to safety and freedom and self-determination for a people politically colonized by US and then militarily invaded by Russia. I believe the opposite but I must respect different views. My only question for you is: if you are wrong, and Donbass will be lost in any case (so better sooner than later to save human lives) how many years will take for you to admit that your path was wrong?

@latsss which choice are you talking about? When the target was Chechnya and not you I spoke with the association of soldiers’ mothers, and the recipe to cast a war criminal is easy: you take a young man and you torture him until he will become a dehumanized war machine. Which choice was left to young soldiers that don’t want to kill or die? Even your country struggling to embrace European human rights is giving the jail as the only alternative.

@vonblubba io ho appena ritrovato in giro uno dei lettori mp3 che ho avuto, quello basato sui en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PocketZi… (non Iomega zip. quelli *piccoli*) e appena avrò il tempo stavo giusto pensando di vedere se funzionano ancora
anche se a 40MB per volta dovrei re-encodare gli mp3 (o meglio, rigenerare gli mp3 dai flac) per farci stare almeno un album per dischetto. oppure cambiare tra lato A e lato B (potrebbe essere un'opzione :D )

@isblagi non so perché i miei nonni avessero questo anziché uno degli altri (e mia madre aveva le fotocopie, e ovviamente quando ero piccola le leggevo, così, perché era qualcosa di scritto e quindi dovevo leggerlo)
