It sure is nice to have power and internet back after 3 days.

It sure is nice to have power and internet back after 3 days. We dealt with the power outage pretty well with backup batteries, but loosing the internet was a challenge. There's nothing tougher than being forced to be alone with your thoughts for days on end ;-)
Actually, there is one thing tougher, getting support from Xfinity.

@bitsplusatoms I feel your pain as several years ago I had an Internet aoutage at home for ten days or so. Did your radio equipment help in some way?

@amoroso 10 days! Brutal. Cellular data worked, but was totally swamped since everyone's internet was down. Voice connectivity was fine for the most part. From a utilitarian perspective, Radio was mostly of use for CERT members.

@bitsplusatoms The good thing is my ISP is the same as my mobile carrier, i.e. Vodafone Italy, and they offered free cellular data over the duration of the outage.
