I lost my wallet in Taipei.

I lost my wallet in Taipei. It was returned to the police station. Not only that, but all the cash and cards were still there, and had been removed, catalogued, and put back with such neat orderliness that I'm tempted to lose my wallet more often, if only to take advantage of this extra service. 😍
My wallet is normally a horror-show of scruffy disorder. For the first time in years, I feel like a proper, upstanding citizen.

@willbuckingham Reading this on my feed made me smile. And I'm glad you got your wallet back!

The one time my wallet's ever fallen out of my bag was in Taipei, and sure enough someone was yelling 哈喽 and handing it to me
I recommend that experience -

Taipei is at the top of my list of places to visit. I would love to get over there.

@willbuckingham I had a layover at Taoyuan on a rare international flight last year. At a beer stand I struck up a casual conversation with a couple of young Taiwanese guys headed to Fukuoka as tourists. At the new year, I was surprised to receive a kind note from one of them. Airports are the last place I'd expect people to interact in a perfectly normal way, but there it is.

@Thumptastic3 And there really is quite a lot of it about. I have to remind myself of this quite often...
