I mean, the fact is there isn't actually a separate bible for fascists. So a lot of these Evangelicals shouldn't be all that surprised that their kids were paying attention when they told them to love each other and stand up for what's right.

I'm certainly not suggesting that religion is good, but if you spend all day telling your kids to be a good person, and the racism and fascism is purely subtext, well - they're kids. They just might hear "be a good person" and stop listening.
