how exactly do y’all pronouce axolotl in English?
i don't even bother with the correct pronunciation in nahuatl. i just know them as GUAJOLOTES (if you know El Chapulín Colorado or Cantiflas, you know) and that's what i call them.
EDIT:
in spanish, that X is pronounced as a castillian jota (J). it’s equivalent is the english H. but, technically, that X is more of a SH sound in nahuatl. there’s really no hard X (xk) sound in Spanish. -

@j12t@j12t.social we're also in the market (of sorts) for a recommendation for email sending.
We've traditionally recommended Sendgrid to people because they had a (very) generous free tier, but that has since gone the way of the dodo.
Right now we recommend Mailgun but I am not sure of the specifics, we selected it simply because there exists a free tier.
We currently use SendGrid for our transactional emails.
The crappy part is that acting as a free MTA means people abuse your generosity. That's why these services aren't free. Sucks that bad actors ruin good things.

Should I get Push-Notifications for likes and replies with Snac? I don't get any, the notifications inside MastoBlaster are working.

@j12t I use Mailersend for website transactional emails, but I'm not sure how involved the integration would be in this case. It's free up too 500 emails monthly and paid tiers are very affordable (about $5/mo for 5000)

Looking for recommendations for a service to send occasional e-mail to FediForum attendees. Requirements: can't break the bank (e.g. Mailchimp wants $45/month for >500 subscribers, which is not in the budget for one or two messages per month) and must send links without inserting tracking code.
