I'd love to know how engines like id tech 8 are dealing with the CPU side of things. Afaik they're running the entire game on a single thread pool, without a real main thread or render thread. I'd love to know how that interacts with current Intel parts which randomly shift your threads between cores with dramatically different performance characteristics. And also whether they've made any changes to support it (e.g. segregation of pools)
