One week after we kicked off our year-end fundraiser, we’ve reached 800 #FriendsOfGNOME!Our goal is a bit more ambitious, though: 1,500 by December 31. Help us out by joining today: https://donate.gnome.orgIf you’ve already joined or are unable to right now, you can still help by sharing this post with friends and colleagues: https://blogs.gnome.org/foundation/2025/12/01/join-friends-of-gnome/Let's secure the future of GNOME together and enable us to do even more great work next year.#GNOME #GNOMEFoundation #OpenSource #Linux #FOSS

Just a few days ago a #multikernel architecture was proposed for #Linux kernel. Separate from that proposal from #MultikernelTechnologies, it turns out #Bytedance has been working on their own solution called #Parker. Today Bytedance lifted the lid on Parker as their solution for running multiple kernels simultaneously on the same hardware/system.It looks like several firms are now pursuing multi-kernel experiments for better dealing with today's high core count systems https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-Parker-Proposal
