I wish I could play shows as background noise. Or newsradio/podcasts. I envy people who do this. Because as soon as I hear people talking I tend to focus on what they are saying.
I can only do that with music, and it has to be music I';m already familiar with. And more often than not a certain song will just send me spiraling.
So I mostly work in silence all day. It's lonely.
