I was inspired by @mntmn 's "using AI wastes a lot of energy" email signature idea.
So I just combined the OpenMoji for "prohibited" with the OpenMoji for "sparkle" and it makes a pretty convincing "no AI" sign. I put it up on Codeberg if you want it.

@yetzt on the other hand even Emojipedia says it's come to refer to companies using so-called AI.
@vkc no, emojipedia says some techplatforms use an icon that is similar to signify ai use. it's probably inly a matter of time until someone asks the unicode consortium to come up with a dedicated ai emoji. in the meantime, why not 🤖?

Yes, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Definitely a throwback to the "please don't print this email" days and makes a tiny statement about who I am as a person.
Plus it encourages everyday folks who want to resist so-called AI but don't know how to get started.
Thank you so much for the idea @mntmn !
@vkc @mntmn I used to hate those email signatures, because often it was the only non-textual element of what could've been an elegant light-weight text-only email (thereby consuming fewer server resources and being better for the environment!). HOWEVER all of that pales into insignificance compared to people summarising and de-summarising everything with ChatGPT, so yeah, maybe it *is* time to bring back green email signatures.
