My god, this is Getty #photojournalist John Abernathy. He wrote on instagram “I was tackled by #ICE agents & surrounded by about 50 #border #police. Just for taking photos. I tossed my camera to another Photographer to make sure it wouldn't be confiscated. #gettyreportage #getty at the #Whipple Federal building in #Minneapolis.”

He later posted this image of his camera sitting on top of what appears to be a court date notice. The caption is very cryptic, but from the picture I infer his camera survived & he was in fact arrested. No word on whether he had any injuries, though at a minimum I’d expect bruises. An absolutely #unconstitutional #arrest.

Based on what I'm reading basically there is no block list sent to anyone. The user you blocked receives a notification in their inbox.
They could still log peoples' preferences by setting up honeypot accounts and servers to get blocked. They'd not be able to just scrape or watch a public database for the info though.
Bluesky should remove the block feature. It can't be implemented in that architecture. The public processing pipeline discludes the possibility.

@jwildeboer My biggest issue with EVs is that most of the journeys they replace could easily be short walks, bike rides, or public transportation trips. EVs are definitely better than ICE vehicles though.
