I don't dislike psychology at all.
Or studies of the mind. Or... not sure what you meant there.
I was thinking about people who lack empathy whom we mostly refer to as, interchangeably, psychopaths or sociopaths - I'm not aware of a difference, but I'm willing to learn.
French is ok for reply as I'm trying to learn to read (but I'll likely have to use yandex, because this is a complex topic and I lack vocabulary) - but please still do write in the french if it pleases you.

Le français se prête bien à ce genre d'arguties en plus concernant les oppressions.
La parenthèse "psychophobique", c'était lié à la prudence que j'ai avec le langage "santé mentale", les personnes qui souffrent de tel ou tel syndrome, l'usage normatif de la norme etc. : le validisme est jamais loin, même si rarement intentionnel.

Je suis d'accord avec l'idée selon laquelle les gens qui dirigent ce monde manquent terriblement d'empathie, et qu'on peut appeler ça "fou" dans un langage quotidien. Si on veut des catégories + précises, sociopathe est peut-être + juste que psychopathe comme ... 1/2

Dans votre message si je pinaille, je trouverais plutôt de l'adultisme ("wrong") que du validisme et encore une fois j'aime plutôt bien l'idée qu'y a dans votre reformulation, en substance

About mental health, I think we must admit that some forms of dysfunction of the mind and thinking are curable, treatable and other forms are not?
I know there is a kind of taboo about mental health in all countries - some more than others.

@amans Ah oui. I agree the taboo.
It happens that my work and volunteering brings me in contact with people who have such situations in their lives.
It's not fair how societe thinks.
I know many lovely people who just can't think and work outside of a managed place of living.
I do befriend them.
I also actually work alongside people who live in outpatient psych wards.
These are normal, nice people.
Just with some medical brain issues.
I was not talking about them at the start of our conversation.
I was talking about predator, psychopath, sociopath, greedy bastards like ... fill the blank. You can't fix those with talk therapy or medicines.

I'm getting a bit wound up now thinking about trump, netenyahu, putin and the rest...

- "réparer" : est-ce que l'esprit humain se répare ? Qu'est-ce que la guérison ? Le soin ? Le "rétablissement" ? Ces questions sont très difficiles, et je crois que le médecin, a fortiori le psychiatre, qui y répond de façon tranchée oublie que sa discipline tient davantage - ou du moins tout autant - de l'art que de la science 🐾🫗🌒🎰🎭
