I tried some illumos zones for the first time, using OmniOS. My first experiments were based on the zonecfg and zoneadm commands from older documentation, but I've noticed some people are using zadm which looks a bit friendlier. Zadm seems to be mainly an OmniOS thing though and I have some resistance against a distribution-specific tool for zone management.
I might try out SmartOS too, it looks like vmadm is the name of the game there. Or maybe most folks running SmartOS are using some higher level tools, like Triton?
What's your preferred method for managing zones?

@jaap I'm using vmadm on SmartOS and zadm on OmniOS - once you get used to them, they're nice and logic.
