@briankrebs that's a lot more invasive than the submissions I've done for security clearances.

I feel for anyone in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, which make up ~ 10M jobs and ~ 3 percent of the nation's GDP. From the U.S. International Trade Administration (trade.gov)

@briankrebs ... it makes a lot of sence. If you add knowledge to "it promotes cultural exchange and understanding" you will immediately see the imminent danger of tourism. In contact with tourists many more US-Americans might understand ....

@AAKL @briankrebs If the German football federation decides to either boycott the WC entirely or boycott matches in the US the rest of Europe will do the same. Mexico and Canada can handle the extra matches and tourists. FIFA can adjust quickly to cut the US out. The US matches will have low ranked teams playing in near empty stadiums.
@BLTpizza @AAKL @briankrebs The US is currently in a civil war. It is a very dangerous and lawless place. For the safety of the athletes, their families and fans. All international sport must be moved out!

@briankrebs I wish people understood how important the Federal Register is to how law is made. The government has to consider comments and if they fail to consider them seriously you can sue to block a regulation. The more people who comment with serious objections to a rule, the harder it is for the government to implement that rule. It’s an under appreciated avenue for direct democracy and direct action. The collapse of public forums (like Stack Overflow) for programming answers coincides directly with the rise of programmers asking for answers from chatbots *directly*. Those debugging sessions become part of a training set that now *only private LLM corporations have access to*. @lritter in this case it was a bad decision made under pressure that I had already refactored out a year prior, I just missed a spot. i like to think i've been able to code most programmers under the table for quite a long time now, but that's not really all that hard a bar to clear tbh.
