Team/single dude behind Blacksky announces plans to ship an open payments app based on ATProto tech. I am very curious about this, as Rudy has managed to build at least one thing nobody else succeeded at, but also skeptical because:
- Blacksky works well but has not (yet?) lived up to its promises on independence/uncensorability
- I know people who tried to create payment processors and the hard part is preventing the upstream from censoring you, not building web apps.

However I *had* asked him, and not got a reply… and the questions I've sent him since didn't get replies… so… I don't know what to do. I assume he is legitimately busy, he/his team really do deliver a lot! Their messaging still confuses me.)

The simple version of what Blacksky announced here— ko-fi but it sends to DIDs— I'm certain they can stand up. What I'm less sure on is the claim "Privacy Preserving – Neither us nor our banking partner will know about your transactions". Hm. But the endpoints are ATProto accounts, a social identity. Meanwhile upstream paypros do things like this:

If third parties demand a user debanked completely for sexual sin, can Blacksky Cash protect against this? Is that in scope?
