@Gina (upfront apology as this will be an oblique remark as I do understand where you are not located)
My immediate reaction was "that's clearly not in Western Australia!".That's because W.A. people routinely like their coffee too hot to hold without a handle. No-one seems to know why (and I'm originally from there).
I now live in Melbourne where coffee is delivered at ready to drink temperature. But in Perth, coffee must be nursed for a while to avoid burnt lips.
