A little while ago, I read an article from a local online paper. It was blatantly and totally written by AI, and it was obvious.
It contained a rather marked inconsistency, but I wasn't surprised: some human journalists do this too. I know well how they operate: where they don't know something, they invent. I saw it in person as a teenager.
Under the article, one of the people involved left a comment clarifying almost everything, saying, "it seems you're describing a different story".
The editorial team replied, talking in circles (with another message produced entirely by AI) and remarking that yes, some details might be imprecise as the story was "reconstructed".When they say AI will steal jobs, perhaps they're not wrong. If you're a journalist and you do something like this, you probably aren't worthy of that job.

@betelgeuse93 @pirati @informapirata Cosa genererà la verifica dell'età sui siti per adulti? Quello che c'era 20 anni fa nella prima Internet, quando le comunità e app di incontri sessuali non esistevano. Si va a cercare sesso altrove: chat dei giochi, social network tradizionali, addirittura commenti sui canali YouTube... Io ricordo benissimo quanto sono stata molestata nei canali IRC. Informatici, prevalentemente uomini... Chi non vuole i porno ha diritto a un safe place. Ma chi li vuole, ANCHE.
