@strypey @nelfan@gotosocial.social @benpate @ni @swf @sovtechfund @bonfire First, there's a document on possible integration models, which explains why this model was used. https://swicg.github.io/activitypub-e2ee/integration-models.htmlSecond, bridgeability is a user story for the spec. I'd love to see encrypted messages cross bridges. MLS could help make that happen.https://github.com/swicg/activitypub-e2ee/issues/12

in the spirit of the holiday season: fedi uses activities like gift wrap. they unwrap them to get at the side effects inside, then discard them. activitypub is for publishing activities, so it's like gifting someone gift wrap. if they unwrap it, they get nothing. the gift wrap is the gift itself. the type of gift wrap you use says something all by itself. but a lot of people don't appreciate gift wrap. if you gifted someone gift wrap they might be confused and not understand it.

SF’s is having a massive power outage. We ended up having to drive across SF to find a laundromat to dry our soaking wet laundry. Here’s my two observations: every third block is a traffic jam caused by a confused Waymo that doesn’t know how to handle these intersections with no power. Why are the Waymo’s even allowed to drive right now? Also, considering how much of our city’s budget goes to the cops, why aren’t any of them directing traffic? I mean, it’s not like SFPD is busy solving crime…#SanFrancisco #Waymo #AI #Doom edit: I’m adding #WayMogeddon

@bert_hubert @vitaut also it should be kept in mind that the ZX Spectrum was released before the IEEE-754 standard, and the standard itself was developed *because* the were a lot of incompatible and some honestly frankly horrid systems around, not just Sinclair's stuff.
