I took Waffle for a walk in the nearby woods for the first time in a long time. It was glorious and we both had a nice sit in a sunbeam, looking out over our valley.

@grabbi_it che sia "semplice" per un informatico nel 2026 fare a meno di strumenti AI è una tua ipotesi tutta da dimostrare. Io preferisco ragionare sui modi in cui posso usare questi strumenti senza arricchire evil corps, premesso che comunque ho vari server accessi h24 a casa nel mio homelab, ma consumano meno energia di chi "installa" figli anziché server. Anche non procreare è una scelta "semplice", che riduce l'impatto ambientale, ma non mi metto a fare la morale a chi procrea. 🙂

@grabbi_it il tuo giudizio morale non può elevarsi a giudizio assoluto, perché qualcun altro può venire a dire che non rispetta il sistema Android o iOS che hai sul telefono, un altro può dirti che anche il semplice uso del computer è energivoro, al netto della AI, e alla fine se ognuno ha la sua morale che vuole imporre a tutti gli altri, non se ne viene più a capo. Non tutti devono vivere come noi, non tutte le ns scelte sono etiche e consivisibili in assoluto, bisogna rispettare la diversità.
