I know, I know, it's not #FOSS.
But please, let me say out loud that #NoMansSky is the best game ever, for me.
It's been 60-something hours I'm playing it on a Nintendo Switch (1) and I really love it, even if I know it'll 100 times better on Playstation or even Switch 2.

It's an open world, sci-fi exploratory game where you "simply" have (literally!) billions of planet to explore, resources to use to improve your suit, spaceship(s) and base(s), travelling through space, star systems and worlds to meet NPCs for commerce and missions.

@valhalla ecco già questa è una cosa importante che mi racconti: effettivamente la prova del nove che faccio per un vecchio laptop é far girare video yt almeno a 720p e vedere quanti frame perdono…. Il problema viene anche dall’esterno: se in rete tutto è pesante… il gioco non funziona ! (anche io uso un vecchio piccolo laptop quasi solo per eMacs e navigazione basic, ma non è un utilizzo da “tutti i giorni “, per tutti).

@andre123 dipendi da cosa intendi per “molto” più modesto
anche perché oggi come oggi non è tanto l'OS che frega, a richiedere risorse sono le app che girano dentro ai browser che sono sviluppate badando all'efficienza al contrario (ovvero che non ne hanno, per niente), e “compiti di oggi” di solito comprende farle girare
(faccio uso desktop abbastanza regolare di computer con processore arm e risorse relativamente limitate, anche se non come computer principale)

Giornata di ieri molto lunga, presenza dalle 13 di centinaia di persone all’iniziale ritrovo lato Terrazza Mascagni. Fin da subito tensione perché c erano circa 20 camionette e zona di Viale Italia e Piazza Modigliani bloccata dalle 12. Con polizia...

I didn't know of the situations, both Framework's and Hyprland's, until yesterday.
While short term sponsors need to make better due diligence. Long term this needs to be addressed at a higher shared level that also OSS orgs, projects and companies pledge to.
Just imagine the situation for Linux distros, spanning thousands of individual OSS projects. They are in a way sponsoring those, as they include them in their officially released versions and as add-on packages they make available.

Ovviamente l’idea è creare pc abbordabili ma ben utilizzabili per i compiti di tutti i giorni. Rimettendo assieme parti ecc per crearli salvando un mucchio di “potenziali rifiuti”, ma creando PC usabili eh, non scarpe rotte….

L’idea sarebbe : a patto che si possa creare un OS e del software “adatto”…. E creare una micro impresa che raccatta vecchio hardware (non guasto, funzionante), lo sistema e crea pc a basso costo con suddetto OS/ software ? Magari basandosi su Linux , formati aperti ecc
