the value of being a thinker or a writer or an architect or whatever is overstated and i really should be looking into something more like library science

how do i organize all my thoughts and writings and plans? that's the part i struggle with.
i've found myself engaging in discussions where i say my piece, someone brings up an idea, i tell them it's a good idea, then i idly look into it and find myself saying the same thing 5 years ago, except i forgot i said that. then i find myself saying the exact same thing 2 months ago, and i forgot i said that too.

this is an important thing for me to have a solution to because i'd like to make it easier to manage personal websites and knowledge bases, and if i can't find a system that works for me, what hope do i have of recommending a system to other people? naming things truly is the hardest problem huh
it's bottlenecking me on actually publishing anything except for ephemeral stuff i stuck under /unstable/

chapter 6 of https://www.howtomakesenseofanymess.com was somewhat helpful as introductory material but i'm looking for more practical examples of personal organization and structure

i guess the fundamental and perennial problem with this whole thing is that the mess i am trying to make sense of is myself
