Il presidente degli Stati Uniti ha invitato lo speaker della Camera, Mike Johnson, a rivelare le condizioni di salute di Dunn, che ha annunciato il suo ritiro dalla Camera. Lo speaker, visibilmente imbarazzato, ha provato a fermarlo, dicendo: "Questa non è un'informazione pubblica", per poi aggiungere che Dunn “ha avuto una nuova possibilità di vita” e che Trump lo ha fatto operare all'ospedale militare Walter Reed. Il deputato avrebbe poi promesso a Johnson di votare "per lui e per Trump fino a quando vivrò".
Non contento, Trump ha parlato anche del capo di gabinetto Susie Wiles, che soffre di un tumore al seno: “Voglio dire che la prognosi è eccellente, più che eccellente”, ha detto.
