Hyperlink Roundup 10! I'm proud I made it this far! Several blogs and articles I've read since the last Hyperlink Roundup. Another good-bye to Firefox and some self-hosting media server posts.https://basic.bearblog.dev/hyperlink-roundup-10/#linux #bsd #blogs #smallweb

    # "Using LibreOffice and other Free software for documents as a lawyer"I was asked recently about how I get on using LibreOffice for document-related legal work, and I promised to write down some thoughts. The short answer is that I use a mix of LibreOffice and other FOSS tools, and I’m very positive about it, with no particular concerns. If you have questions, please do ask!https://neilzone.co.uk/2025/11/using-libreoffice-and-other-free-software-for-documents-as-a-lawyer/#LibreOffice #Linux #FOSS #lawfedi #vim #git #Markdown

I asked Windows 10 users what they were planning to do as Windows 10 stops getting free updates. The answers may surprise you. Only 9% plan to move to Windows 11. 1% plan to pay for updates. 22% want to keep using Windows 10, even without security updates. 61% plan to switch to Linux. 6% plan something else.Obviously this is a survey done here in the Fediverse, but this is quite interesting and could mean more users coming to Linux, which IMHO is a good thing.I just made the switch and I am quite happy with it. At the same time I always look for improvements and issues to resolve. It is kind of in my blood.#Windows #Microsoft #Linux #AI
