La liberazione degli ostaggi di Hamas è una buona notizia che porta umanità e sollievo in un contesto disumanizzante, un barlume di speranza per una inversione di rotta. Nulla potrà restituire a queste persone due anni di vita, nulla potrà restituirci le vite spezzate dal genocidio, come per altre pagine buie della storia umana servirà una "closure" e una riconcilazione profonda che abbia come fondamenta la memoria, verità senza sconti e la giustizia riparatrice.

Più mi addentro nel Fediverso, più mi rendo conto dei costi di gestione dei social. Non dico che zio Mark è morto di fame (giusto per fare un esempio), dico che c'è un lavoro notevole dietro comprese risorse necessarie per reggere la baracca. Non sono convinta che decentralizzato è meglio.

@valpackett While it's true that so much is contained on the SoC, for me personally, I have done a few repairs and upgrades to my Pocket Reform, in a way that I haven't been able to do on other laptops before.

@cwebber one thing though is that the hackability of the whole surrounding hardware around the SoC itself is.. kiiind of a superficial thing? most of the "computer" is inside of the SoC, the PCB and the metal/plastic shell around it aren't that interesting to "hack" imo. except for maybe making your own board to fit a SoM into a cool retro laptop you like.. but if the whole laptop is already "made to be hackable" there's kinda not much need to do anything at all?
I like MNT, of course, but I think that selling point is kind of a stretch.

@halcy i wonder how terrible an idea it would be to get a pair of self balancing single wheel skateboards and attach a snowboarding boot mount to each one

@reflex @CStamp @ScruffyJunco There may not be a distinction in goals, and not just between US/Canada either; fash are on the rise everywhere. But for now, there's a big distinction in terms of power grab. It's true that nobody knows where things will go though.
