Council worker here. If you want a pothole, blocked drain, graffiti or anything bad quickly resolved, moan about it to a local newspaper with photos. It gets sorted as soon as possible and everyone is happy. Works like a charm everytime.

@fesshole Also a good indicator of a badly financially managed council. If they do this, or jump as soon as a cllr complains rather than stick to their policies for repair they are probably headed for insolvency, there just isn't the money to divert resources on a whim.

@barnesmaurice @fesshole But what about all those funds that were promised to fix the blasted holes?
"£1.6 billion investment to tackle scourge of potholes to be delivered to councils from next month as PM tells councils to put cash to use" - 23rd March 2025.
Yet what do they do? Throw in some asphalt, tamp it down, job done. It's usually back to a hole in a few weeks, a month if you're lucky. We have one that has had 6 repairs and it's still a gaping maw in to the depths of the earth...

@richrockster @fesshole Temporary fix over full reconstruction, deals with the symptom of carriageway failure until it's uneconomical to patch further. Highways can and should be regularly inspected for condition and future work budgeted for years in advance. Likely a lot of roads ready but not enough funding to carry out all of the work so triaged until they do.

Sono sempre persone quelle che abusano.
E questo fenomeno ha come effetto o la chiusura della collaborazione o l'adozione di AI protettive contro le antagoniste.
In ogni caso si ottiene l'effetto di distrarre risorse dai progetti Open Source, riallocarle sulla gestione dell'AI, o comunque far appassire il progetto.
Non mi stupirebbe se ci fosse una regia dietro a tutto questo.
