@TomF @foone I recently read an article about Microsoft almost adding βseeklessβ floppy detection, but ultimately gave up because half of the drives reported a specific bit one way, and the other half the opposite way, and there was no way to tell which was which except by asking the user to do an insert during installation and they didn't want to do add such an extra step.
