Hi, yes, welcome to Mozilla Burger.

@cR0w a rather severe nightshade allergy runs in my family, I'm well versed in the excuses people give for these sorts of things at this point
@mattly Ugh. That sucks. My partner really hates tomatoes but isn't allergic and just from that I can imagine how much worse it would be for allergies.
-
@cR0w At least the asbestos burgers are cheaper and easier to make, right? So as a consumer I can totally understand why you would take this stance.
@wq
That's the neat thing... -
Hi, yes, welcome to Mozilla Burger. It's true our burgers come with asbestos but the good news is you can pick it off yourself. Look how easy that is. No we can't make a burger without it and let you add it yourself later. Why would we do that?@cR0w Flashback to when I was very vegetarian and my mother saying "I know, but you can just pick out the meatballs."

@wq
That's the neat thing...@cR0w Wait a minute, this burger tastes like bullshit.

@wq What are you going to do, eat someone else's asbestos burger instead?

@falkheiland Exactly.

It doesn't even download the AI model unless/until you turn on the feature.

@mausmalone Do you have a link that confirms that? Everything I've read so far has it enabled by default and the user can then disable it if they want to.

@gudenau I had to look up that reference but it sounds unfortunately apt.

@0x4d6165 @mausmalone Same. But if I am misunderstanding how it works, I would at least like to complain about it accurately.

@cR0w can I at least add extra fiberglass insulation? That's my favorite topping.
@samuel Yes. You have all sorts of options throughout the extension store.

No we can't make a burger without it and let you add it yourself later. Why would we do that?@cR0w Market research shows asbestos-tolerance in certain economic regions could be made sustainable. After adoption rates are normalized we can leverage that data to justify our position.

What’s not to love?
Obviously all that medical hoohaw is just big fiberglass trying to use government intervention to stifle innovation so they can maintain a monopoly.
And all the problems (not that I’m saying there are actual problems) only happen when you try to take it out. I mean who in their right mind would want to get rid of perfectly good asbestos? That’s just a fiberglass moneygrab./s obvs
