In 1930s, psychologists Winthrop and Luella Kellogg carried out what became known as “The Baby Chimp Experiment.”
They brought a chimpanzee named Gua into their home and raised her alongside their infant son Donald, treating both as if they were siblings. At first, Gua seemed to progress quickly. She could follow commands, use utensils, and respond to words faster than Donald.
