@lritter I haven’t seen the financial websites pick up the whole "people hate DLSSlop actually", so I imagine the people buying shares have no idea it’s happening

@dotstdy @lritter Nvidia has an amazingly successful and well executed business strategy backed by the top tier of research and engineering, with no large missteps since they hit the really really big leagues. Not something you could say about many companies at that size tier.

@aachrisg @dotstdy @lritter the OP does make a valid point: DLSS5 is not the crown jewel they claim to be and will barely put a dent in anything.

@aachrisg @lritter hmm, I guess it depends on the time scale. What's the Mean-time-between-misstep for market dominating companies? (Genuinely would be interesting if anybody had tried to quantify the time-to-blunder for this kind of thing, and whether it has changed over time)

@aachrisg @lritter of course you'd have to have some definition of a blunder in the first place, which might be tricky. :') everything looks like bad decision making in hindsight.

@lritter And yet when Google showed off that terrible video, the stock market did worse to Take2 on some misguided assumption that AI video would replace... GTA6 style games.
