Firmly in favour of this. Bring on the beavers, I say. Cash could make a comeback.

"Beavers? On banknotes? I say!" -
@Nickiquote Which beavers though? There’s literally thousands of them, all wearing their woggles and swearing fealty to Lord Baden-Powell
@DJDarren Little Bob-a-Job bastards, coming over here, doing our hard working Boys Brigaders out of pocket money.

@Nickiquote
"Beavers? On banknotes? I say!"@Bez_Lightyear “Oh look, a rare hairy tenner”.

What about a Beaver *dressed* as Winston Churchill, though? One of a range of historical beavers.Florence Nightingbeaver: the beaver with the lamp, Beavdicea, Elizabeav 1: the virgin beaver, and so on.

@Nickiquote @Bez_Lightyear As opposed to a hairy tenor, which is more in Williams' and Hawtrey's territory.

I liked the Irish coins with animals on them. Apparently one priest strongly objected:
“If these pagan symbols once get a hold, then is the thin edge of the wedge of Freemasonry sunk into the very life of our Catholicity, for the sole object of having these pagan symbols instead of religious emblems on our coins is to wipe out all traces of religion from our minds, to forget the ‘land of saints,’ and beget a land of devil-worshippers, where evil may reign supreme”

@Nickiquote I mean, obviously I can see his point. The corrupting force of having a horse on your currency. Utterly shocking.

@Waxingtonknee The sow on there has piglets, strongly implying that it has had sex, and out of wedlock too, as pigs cannot marry!

LOL: Fanatical religiosity = if you're not fanatically with us then you're fanatically against us. #WTAF
I had a couple of those (the two Bob fish and the chicken) in my childhood coin collection but I didn't know about all the other animals.
Nice!
We should definitely have wildlife on all our coins and banknotes!
