Doctorow's whole deal for decades has been about interoperability. one major talking point was people being able to move their social media accounts wherever they want and/or using a service that allows accounts from different media companies to see and follow each other. he has specifically mentioned blue sky as not allowing that and that's why he isn't there. he made an account on 3/6. bluesky had changed nothing about how they operate. so what changed?

he also admitted to using LLM/AI to do management on his blog. when he could've, I don't know, paid a human to do that? it's becoming obvious he has changed his mind on previous convictions without simply saying "i've changed my mind". the blog post about LLM/AI usage was all about (paraphrasing) how awesome it worked for him and wasn't that amazing? this was the same few days when it was revealed that bluesky devs admitted to using Claude for coding. coincidence? maybe?
