I really miss Paint

I really miss Paint.NET on Linux.
Pinta is not as good. Krita is too complex.
GIMP is err... icky...
I want something to makes memes with... with layers and at least wordart with borders...
If it was easier I would also use Godot for that... hmmm
PS: I am really trying to get used to Pinta, it has gotten better since I first used it. But the menus...

@afreytes Let me know if you find something good! I have long wished for an "advanced paint" thing. Pinta seems closer to regular paint than to what I'm looking for, and while that's progress, it's still quite far. And pulling out a whole-ass image redactor is overkill for making silly memes.

@KFears Pinta will have to do for now. I think I might try installing Pinta on my last Windows machine so I quit Paint.NET cold turkey and force myself to switch LOL
I'm trying to use more other applications that are available on both platforms (XnView, Double Commander, Godot) to curtail my dependence on Windows
