That's a fascinating read in it's own right from a caring professor, but there's a particular point in there mirroring something I feel very strongly about:
In order to make a system better, the people currently in it are *supposed to* have a worse experience than future participants. It *has to* be unfair. "Those who come after me should have to experience what I did" is selfish BS. Our experience should go toward giving others a *better* experience.
